The Crown Tavern is a Victorian pub whose interior still reflects this with its etched glass panes and decorative mirrors. It was once a music hall too but it lost its appeal and part of the building was sold off. Today, The Crown Tavern serves a variety of beers, wines and spirits as well as an assortment of traditional homecooked English dishes. Catering for private parties of up to 70 guests is available upon request and seating on the terrace and pavement is provided, weather permitting.

Drink Good Beer Here

4.0 out of 5.0

The best outdoor drinking place in the area, the staff hustle their asses off to get drinks turned around, but mostly I go because they stock awesome craft beers like Goose Island, Brooklyn, Sierra Nevada, Meantime, as well as Chimay and the usual selection of lagers on tap. If it’s sunny you should drink good beer here.

Cool summer pub

Definitely a summer pub. It's right in the middle of Clerkenwell Green, so everyone spills out onto the pavement outside.
Nice selection of ales and lagers on top - more than just the usual suspects.
Food can be a bit hit and miss - bar snacks good, but Sunday Roast (for veggies) was really ropey.
Private rooms also available to hire (haven't tried these though).
