Reno, UK

2.0 out of 5.0

May 11, 2008

I recently went to lunch with a big group from my work and we ended up at the Litten Tree. The good thing about the Litten Tree is that a group of 15 people can wander in just about any time and probably find a table - the place is simply massive.

The decor in the Litten Tree strongly reminds me of a casino restaurant that hasn't been remodeled since the late 1970s, like most of Reno, Nevada. I actually like Reno in a campy ironic sort of way, but I didn't expect to find a small chunk of it transported to London. The occasional book shelf filled with random boot sale books does little to dispel the casino vibe.

The Litten Tree of course has food and beer. Prices are good, quality is what you expect from places with corporate menus decided by someone at a food service company, which is to say edible, reasonably priced, but generally requiring several pints to actively enjoy anything.
