Haha why is it that I always seem to be posting conversations in the drinking category??
At any rate - I want to take advantage of the lovely weather we've been having by drinking outside! Even if Boris wants to keep me from drinking on the bus (you might be shocked to learn that I recoil at the practice), he can't stop me from taking a seat on a lovely patio or even just in front of the pub in the sun. So where are the best places for a cold beer on the porch on a warm afternoon?
I can throw one out there, the Junction by the Highbury-Islington tube station. It has a decent front porch that has about 7-8 picnic benches to sit on whilst guzzling pints. Not bad, but it is a bit exposed to the busy high street - how about a big but somewhat secluded spot? Let's hear it!

The Albion in Islington remodeled their outdoor area last summer and it's a gem. Fresh herbs and lavendar with white rocks and nice tables make this the utlmiate sunny day hang out.

It is hard to beat The Prospect of Whitby, or the nearby Captain Kidd. Both of these have superb outdoor areas with amazing views of the river. Smaller but also nice are The Grapes in Limehouse or The Prospect of Whitby. The courtyard at The George Inn near Borough Market, while lacking a river view, is a really pleasant spot to hang out on a warm afternoon and draws a nice mellow crowd.
