Check out the reviews on the link below. Does anyone else think it's weird when this happens?

Not surprising, but unfortunate. This is why you really need a photo of yourself to be trustworthy, not to mention more than one review. This happens on Yelp constantly, but I think they just leave it to users to be savvy enough to disregard them unless it gets really egregious.

Yeah it's hard to tell what to think about some of those kinds of Tips. I've especially noticed them in service categories like builders, attorneys, that kind of thing. As Andy said, it goes to show that having a filled out profile and a track record of useful reviews makes a Tipper far more reliable and trustworthy.

Yeah as if Spitafields needs to stack review sites to get people there...don't get it.

Saboteurs, or truly disgruntled types? Either way, I reckon they should get together and slug it out:

Isn't It Great When People Capitalise Every Word Of What They're Writing?

hahaha

I saw that I MEAN SHOUTING IN CAPITALS IS ONE THING But Capitalising Every First Letter Of Every Word Is Actually Really Difficult And Annoying

Its interesting that its a cattery though, usually this kind of thing happens with nail salons or hair dressers where I imagine one of the girls was bitchy to another girl or maybe she stole the other one's boyfriend so they all start dissing each other - I would've thought cat owners would have more class?

Um, I appear to have replied with exactly the same thing I originally posted. Twice. That wasn't meant to happen.

Yeah, sometimes it's confusing. But I think it's common that some businesses have inconsistent service. They just don't know that people are talking about them on the Internet... muhahaha.

I think for the most part you can make up your own mind - it is very easy to tell, like you've mentioned it is always those with the single review. Thankfully, we're not that stupid (at least, I would hope).

Do you guys have any plans to moderate this kind of thing? Difficult I know.

Re: the stream of reviews for Loggerheads Boarding Cattery...

On a serious note, whilst the negative reviews here may be genuine (God forbid they are), there's also the potential that they are not.

I have flagged the negligence/animal cruelty accusations up to Waltham Forest Council for their investigation. Technically, as they provide and review the licence for Loggerheads Boarding Cattery, all parties with complaints should be approaching them directly, rather than posting their grievances to Tipped.

I read somewhere that making a representation online about goods or services where you have a vested interest will become illegal, unless you declare it. This would seem like reasonable behaviour anyway - especially if you want someone to take you seriously. I did just that when I reviewed the St Pancras Grand here:
