Wow, I just walked by there on the weekend and didn't even notice it. Now I want to go check it out though, for what reason I have no idea, but sounds fun. Great story on Londonist, really funny.

So I walked by it today, and there was a huge line - about half way down the line was a sign that said "one hour from this point". There was no way I was waiting that long to look at New Yorkers on a big TV. Maybe weekdays are better.

Yeah Charles and I walked by the other day last week. I was a bit put off by the £1 donation, to be perfectly honest. Instead of paying that pittance, I instead stood behind the ropes and peered over other peoples' shoulders - the benefits of being tall!
I was actually quite impressed with the fidelity of the images from New York. There was no sensation of time lag, and it seemed like everything was happening in real time, which was fun. Since I was in the back I didn't really get a chance to try and engage with people on the other side, but still was a neat thing to observe. Too bad I'm too much of a cheapskate to drop a pound to stand up close!
Also, I believe that the Telectroscope has run its course and is now gone, is that right?

Yeah I think its gone - but I too was not happy about £1 - I mean its not a lot of money but I reckon it counts as public art right?
