What are your favourites? Where is the best pub to go for real ales? Are there any that specialize?
My favourite would have to be Landlord, although I also am known to go for London's Pride. As for a pub, it really depends but the best student pub for real ales would probably be the George IV (http://www.tipped.co.uk/listings/78209/George%20IV) which has a rotating stable of real ales.

If you're up for a splurge try The Warrington. One of the best selection of Real Ales around and you can try GR's latest Gastropub and let us know what you think.

Pride at The Narrow just seems to taste better, not sure why. GR must have the magic touch.

The house ale at The George Inn (http://www.tipped.co.uk/listings/6969/George%20Inn) near London Bridge station is darn tasty. The Market Porter (http://www.tipped.co.uk/listings/7752/The%20Market%20Porter) right by Borough Market has a great selection of real ales, if you can fight your way through the crowds to actually get one.

Have you tried the Jerusalem on Britton Street in Clerkenwell? It's a boozer that dates way, way back. Worth a visit even if they don't serve the widest selection of real ales.

Anything from the Beowulf Brewing Company in Staffs. Dragon's Smoke Stout is my favourite.
