Hi,
I just moved from Farringdon to Shoreditch. Anyone know if there are any pound shops in the area (where everything is a £)? Are there any other markets in Shoreditch besides Brick Lane Market on Sunday?

Thanks!

Whitecross Market, especially on Fridays is great - mostly for prepared food, but you can get some cheese and produce as well, and there are a few CD/DVD sellers there with some good bargains. There is always the market in Spitalfields on Friday/Saturday - not amazing, but a decent selection. And of course you can load up on flowers at the Columbia Road flower market.

Petticoat Lane Market is essentially an outdoor pound shop - I've never found anything I actually want, and most things look like they might have fallen off the back of a lorry, but it's worth a browse.

hmmm yeah I've lived here for a while and I don't know if there's an actual 'pound shop' although if you're after super cheap shit like mops or house stuff then get up bethnal green road - some quality cheap shops up there - otherwise Hoxton Street in the day time.
