Corney & Barrow are independent wine merchants founded in 1780. They have several branches which stock a variety of different and exclusive wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Portugal. They also have a chain of wine bars that sell wine by the glass or the bottle. There is a lunchtime menu and snacks are served in the evening. This branch serves a variety of modern European dishes and can cater for private parties of up to 150 guests upon request. They also have a big screen TV showing Sky Sports and a DJ playing a host of tunes every Friday. They have bands playing live music every three months. The bar is available for free hire at weekends.

Bland & Expensive - So I went here last night to meet some people that I don't know very well, hence the reason I was here - I wouldn't normally choose this area or this type of establishment but sometime you don't get to choose.

The whole place is on the basement level and the atmoshphere seems alright, kind of quiet and dark with dark wood tables and stuff.

I was even pleasently surprised when I found that they served bottles of Innis & Gunn but then after a couple I moved to some pilsner and had a pint and it cost £3.90 - I don't mind paying for my beers but for some middle of the road lager £3.90 is a rip off - I then looked around and realised that this place was essentially full of boring suits and the atmoshpere was actualy dull.

There are literally thousands of great places to meet and drink people in London - there's no excuse to come here.
