Wiltons is a little oasis of English upper crust values; loyal patrons love the attentive service and delicious food, while others are usually deterred by expensive prices. It is reputed to offer some of the finest seafood and game in London. They can cater for private parties of up to 18 people.

What Could be More Posh British? - Wiltons is definitely a remnant of a bygone era, and all I can say is more power to it. The location probably could not be more elite, being as it is surrounded by old fashioned private clubs and expensive financiers' offices (not to mention a stones-throw from the Ritz and St James's Palace), and I don't have to tell you that the prices match the environs.
Still, the service is top-notch (presuming that they'd deign to serve no-nameniks like us - something tells me they aren't going to be putting Tipped stickers in the window), and the seafood and game is, as the official description notes, superb. Go for the skate or petrale sole, or if in season some of the game (just watch out for those sneaky pieces of scattershot that might remain!). The wine list is, as one might expect, as deep as your pockets ought to be if you are thinking of buying a bottle off of it. The sommelier is also quite knowledgeable, so you might as well put yourself in his hands and you'll probably be pleased (so long as you stipulate your upper-limit in terms of price).
You're not so much likely to be rubbing elbows with celebs as much as power-brokers - you know, the bespoke suited men who pull the strings behind the scenes. Ideally one of these people is picking up the tab for you, as there is no mistaking the fact that this is one expensive restaurant! Still, if you can afford it (or expense it!), this has got to be one of the most authentic British upper-crust institutions around.
