Great French restaurant Le Bistro - "This time I brought my appetite: an inhuman beast most abominable. The manager isn't here when we get in, but he turns up as we start ordering to say hello. I order a bottle of 100% Grenache, my favourite kind of wine for this time of year, but they're out of stock, so he picks a wine he thinks we'll like, and offers to charge the same price. This guy is literally full of nice gestures."

Tasty, authentic, and unpretentious - Le Bistro serves good, unpretentious French food. You'll find French staples like escargot and mousse au chocolat as well as English-influenced seasonal fare. But, like most things, even English food tastes better when it's prepared the French way.
The manager, Arnaud, is lovely and friendly. The service is good and the back deck is a spacious. Rumor has it that in summer, the restaurant sets up a game of petanque alongside the deck.
A great place to hang out with friends, particularly on warm days.
